Yeah, the terrorists in the Middle East are a little confused.

Back in the day, terrorists like the guys who started the American Revolution had a clear idea - kick out the British. And it worked. They won and became heroes.

Then again, they do seem to be somewhat successful. September 11th got the US and other nations into the Middle East to mix things up a little. I don’t know about you but I’d probably be hating America at least a little more than before if they blew up my house in Iraq. Sure they killed the evil dictator but was that worth losing your family? And then it spreads from there of course through propaganda and such.

So killing innocent people is a bit of a gamble. Yeah, you’re going to have some people come out against you but maybe those people don’t really matter. Remember that these terrorists are calling Muslims in England traitors. So do you think they care about the white liberal who marches in peace parades in Washington? Not likely.

I think they view right now is in stirring up trouble in the Middle East. Blowing people up elsewhere in the world seems to just increase the trouble in the Middle East, which possibly works to their advantage (more recruits?).. at least in their minds.

So, yeah, I think they’re a little confused but not completely missing the boat.
