Techdirt:Who Do You Trust, The Wiki Or The Reporter? - it's sad, really, because the people who read this most likely already agree with the author, and the people who read the reporter's article will probably not read this. Via Blogdex.

Marc's Voice: Bookmarklet tool by Michael Fagan called URLInfo - it's very neat when you had planned on e-mailing someone (Marc Canter) to tell them about something you've made (URLinfo), but they blog it before you get a chance. Second time that's happened today.

URLinfo beta || Fagan Finder - today I launch URLinfo. Finally. I have been working (on and off) on this specific tool since sometime around November maybe. And it is based on a tool of the same name that I never completed, which was based on my Web Page Information Viewer tool. I've taken that offline now and redirected it to URLinfo. That, however, was based on my Site Specific tool, which you can see, courtesy of the Internet Archive, as it appeared on November 2001.

Anyhow, I'm very glad to have it finally public, at least in beta. Use it to search through the website your on, find similar pages and old versions, find WHOIS data, backlinks. Validate pages, etc. etc. I think bloggers should like it for the vanity backlink-searching. Hopefully sometime I'll get around to implementing some of the million other things I want to do with it.

Hyperlink Policy (Athens 2004) - the gap between those who are with it and those who are not is still enormous. Via Jeremy Zawodny's linkblog. Btw, I added a link to part of the Athens website a few days ago (before I saw this) to my Biographies page.
